SOAG members work hard to raise funds to protect, preserve and enhance the Gardens.
We also have to raise funds for our running costs. For example - in order to hire a hall for a coffee morning, we are obliged to take out public liability insurance. This alone costs in the order of £150 per year. Membership charges help to cover administration costs and postage, but we also have several fundraising events each year.
Mostly we fundraise through coffee mornings, fairs, and a stall in the gardens on Carnival day. However we have on occasions made a direct appeal for specific project funding.
The people of St Annes have been generous in their support to us, and we are always mindful of the responsibility this entails.
