"The future is spinning before your eyes"

The Mission
These pages explain what a Website is, how you can get one made up, why you should have one, what sort of costs are involved, and why we think you should choose us to build your Website for you.

Website Design Overview
A Website is space on a computer where anyone who subscribes can say "This is me, this is what I do, or what I am interested in, what I know, or what I can sell you".

Each screenful of information is called a page, and might contain text, graphic images, photographs, sound or video.

A main feature are the "links" embedded within a page that can be clicked with your computer mouse to transport you to other pages.

This interactivity relates and binds the viewer much more tightly to the information than a traditional brochure can do.

Webfacts Newsletter
For news about how the Web is affecting our lives, sign up for  Webfacts our e-newsletter.

One of the big changes on the way is called "disintermediation". - Brokers in the high street, together with high street agents, and advisers of all types are vulnerable to being sidelined by home PC and digital TV users making direct contact with Internet multinationals or primary suppliers, unless they adapt to the new opportunities.

Why Do I Need A Website ?
There are lots of reasons you might need a website. The one people say most often, is to send and receive email, but there are also benefits in promotion and communication.

You might even feel that simply being involved with the Internet says more about your company philosophy than a boatload of glossy brochures ever could.

Don't think the web is not for you. It is the future. As someone said "There's no point in ignoring it, it's as inevitable as the telephone".

What's in it for me?
There are potentially many benefits, including cost savings, support for your existing clients, and expanding into new markets. Look up the benefits in detail here. You can also sell over the Web, check out the details in our E-commerce section.

What does it cost ?
There are several parts to the service. Consequently, a number of charges can arise, and to avoid finding unexpected "extras" along the way, you need to be sure how much of the service they will receive when apparently bargain prices are given.

As with most things, you get what you pay for, and free lunches are hard to find.

The links at the top left of this page have lots of tips and some information on costs. They are a "must browse" for anyone seriously considering getting their own website.

How do I get a website made up ?
Well, you can learn the HTML programming yourself, or you can get someone with the time, design flair, marketing expertise and computer skills to do design and build your website for you.

The service we offer is flexible. We can organise and arrange the whole thing, or any element of it. You will find more details about the process under How do I get one, and some reasons why you should choose us to help you will be found under Choosing your Designer.

We can also offer training, from a very basic how to send and receive email, through making straightforward updates to web pages via templates specific to your site that we can supply, through to advanced topics like writing the HTML code to allow you to build and upload your own website pages if you would like to be able to do this.

How do I find out more?
Check out the links on the left for more detailed information, then ask for our Website Design Checklist. This guides you through all the things you will need to think about before you decide whether to have a website of your own or not.

It is available by email or by traditional mail if you want a good quality copy to be able to show to someone else for approval. Request a copy of the Website Design Checklist.

Alternatively if you would like to discuss your ideas or thoughts with us, just ring or email, and we will be in touch.

If you are still not sure, you could check out the portfolio of Client Websites we have completed, or look at our "Awards and accolades" page.

Our aim is to exceed your expectations and delight you.
